Why mattresses are a hassle to get rid of
Mattresses are bulky, floppy and hard to carry down a staircase alone, and garbage programs often limit bulk items. Check your town's rule on our service area pages, or skip the rules and let us carry it out.
Illinois has no mattress recycling law. According to the Mattress Recycling Council, only California, Connecticut, Oregon and Rhode Island have one. Cook County's CHaRM recycling center lists mattresses as not accepted.
